This is what awaited me this morning. I was determined to get the yard raked for Randy because by the time he gets home and we eat dinner it's dark so he can't mow...and I don't really trust myself with the riding lawn mower.
...Needless to say, I did not get the entire yard raked. I didn't even get a fourth of it raked. Between my being totally overwhelmed by the gazillion leaves and the kids begging me to take them to the playground it was kind of a lost cause. However, I did get the flower beds cleaned out. Yeah, they were covered in leaves so I did accomplish something. And the kids got to play in the big pile of leaves I was able to make from the flower beds...
Can't quite tell if they are playing or fighting... I think Hailey "thinks" she is playing but Caleb thinks otherwise... |
Jumping in the leaves! |
If it looks like this one ended badly... It's because it did...

My sweet daughter-in-law,
ReplyDeleteI have raked that same yard a gazillion times through the years. It is indeed a formidable task....and it ended up the same way for me as it did for you. Piles of leaves with piles of kids jumping in them. Who needs a playground? That yard has provided lots of entertainment for lots of kids, including your husband, for lots of years.
So, are you asking Santa for a leaf blower this year? LOL I love you, Tammy
